Welcome to 8th Grade! My name is Katie Hawkins and I will be teaching Science 8. This is my first year at Richview, however, I have been teaching Science for over 22 years. Most recently, I spent 5 years teaching Biology and Chemistry at CMCSS K12 Virtual and prior to that, I taught Biology and Physical Science at Rossview High School. I am looking forward to being back in the traditional classroom and working hands-on with students again.

My husband Eric and I have three children. Our daughter, Avery, is a senior at CHS and plays volleyball. She has committed to continue her volleyball career at Harding University in the Fall of 2027. Our other daughter, Sara, is a sophomore at CHS and also plays volleyball. Our son, Will, is in 5th grade at Sango elementary and loves to play baseball, basketball and golf. At our house, we sing Rocky Top during football season and do the Braves tomahawk chop during baseball season.
