My name is Camilla Hernandez, and I am excited to teacher another fabulous year in 8th grade at Richview! This marks my 13th year as an educator, during which I taught 5th grade for six years, served as the academic coach for four years, and taught 7th and 8th grade ELA and Social Studies in previous years.
Currently, I teach 8th grade Social Studies, which is U.S. history from Colonization to Reconstruction. I have a deep passion for history and strive to share this enthusiasm with my students through engaging lessons and meaningful instruction. In addition to teaching, I coach Richview's girls basketball, which has been an important part of my life since elementary school.
Outside of the classroom, I am an avid athlete, with basketball being my favorite sport. I have also enjoyed coaching cross country and softball in the past. I am truly looking forward to a wonderful school year filled with academic growth and life learning experiences for our students.
