I love being a Richview Cowboy! Teaching is my third, and favorite, career. I am a U.S. Army Veteran and worked as a paralegal before attending Austin Peay State University to become a teacher. In 6th grade science, we investigate energy, what it is, and how it moves. How the movement of energy throughout Earth's systems affects all living things, and how humans, in turn, affect the world around us. It is my goal to help all of my students discover their inner scientists through making observations, asking questions, and seeking answers.

We have 4 Units of Study in 6th Grade Science. We complete the first two units, Energy and Energy Transformations,  and Weather & Factors Affecting Climate, before Christmas break. After Christmas we will study Ecosystems and Biomes in Unit 3 and end the year with Human Impact on Biodiversity and Natural Resources.

Respectful - we treat others, and their belongings, the way we would like to be treated; we allow everyone the opportunity to learn.

Self-Management- we take responsibility for our actions; we arrive on time; we bring all needed materials and a ready to learn attitude every day.

Safe - we follow all rules and procedures; we listen to and follow directions; we remain silent during drills or emergencies.
