We are excited to meet all of our new and returning Cowboys this Wednesday, August 7. It is a half day, so breakfast and lunch will not be served. Students may begin entering the building at 7:00AM and go directly to the gym for the assembly. There will be adults with signs located at all entrances to guide new students toward the gym. The school day officially begins at 7:20AM, so students arriving after that time need to check in at the Welcome Center. During this half day, students will receive their schedules go to all of their classes. Students do not need to bring backpacks and supplies until lockers are assigned. A writing utensil is all students need.
Car Riders: We have two car circles; the Richview Road entrance and the Memorial Drive entrance. Parents may use either entrance during morning drop off. For afternoon pickup, 6th graders and their older siblings go to the car circle at the main entrance (Richview Rd side). 7th and 8th graders go to the Memorial Drive car circle. Adults will be guiding the process, so please take caution with speed and be alert. Parents may not park in the parking lot and have their students walk across the traffic as this creates a safety concern. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in understanding it will take longer those first few weeks and everyone waits their turn. We value the safety of our entire community.
If your student is a bus rider, please be sure he or she knows the bus number before coming to school as well as making sure your student knows his or her current address. If your student will be a bus rider that afternoon, we recommend the bus be taken that morning to school.
We will continue to provide you with information this week and next, and we look forward to seeing all of our Cowboys and Cowgirls.
