Teacher Perfect Attendance

We all know how hard it can be for students to have perfect attendance to school. It is often also hard for adults as well, so we wanted to recognize our staff members who had perfect attendance last semester. (professional leave and jury duty excluded).

We went to each teacher’s classroom to recognize them, present them with a certificate, and they will be given an opportunity to sign up for an extra planning period where Mrs. Koon will cover/teach one of their class periods. Congratulations to Laura Stamper, Christina Ploeckelman, Andrea Richard, Devin Roberts, Tabitha Wilson and Stephanie Morris.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher-Conferences will be held Thursday, January 24, from 4:30-7:30PM. These will be traditional parent teacher conferences as opposed to student led conferences. This gives parents an opportunity to meet directly with teachers to discuss any concerns for your child. However, we believe student involvement in understanding and communicating his or her own progress is important, so you are welcome to bring your student with you if you choose. Conferences are held on a first come, first serve basis. Please reach out via email to teachers you plan to see and provide a brief explanation of your concerns to share so they will be better prepared to collaborate with you during that short time. Thank you for your support for our teachers and your student.

Sam’s Club and Cinnabon will be in the in cafeteria that evening. Please see attached flyers.

City Saver

We are ready to kick off our City Saver coupon book fundraiser. Each student will bring home a coupon book and fundraiser details on Friday, January 18. The books contain hundreds of coupons to local restaurants and entertainment establishments. Those who purchase the book will receive a free national smart phone app to receive discounts across the country. The cost of the books are $25, and 60% of the proceeds goes back directly to the schools and the CMCSS Education Foundation. Students/parents may start taking orders at that time, and the first order fulfillment will be during the week of January 28. More specific details will be posted on the school webpage and Facebook page, so check those out as well. We have a school community that has traditionally supported this fundraiser very well for us so that we may raise funds for student incentives, supplemental instructional materials and school beautification projects. Your support is genuinely appreciated.
